AFFIRMATIVE ACTION DECLARATION

The Board of Education declares it to be the policy of the Cape May County Special Services School District that each student in the district shall be provided with an equal opportunity to achieve his/her highest potential through the programs offered in the Cape May County Special Services School District. No student shall be denied access to or benefit from the educational programs on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, gender, ancestry, national origin, place of residence, disability, or social/ economic background. Our School District provides equal access to the Boy Scouts and other designated youth groups.

La Junta de Educación declara que es política del Distrito Escolar de Servicios Especiales del Condado de Cape May que cada estudiante en el distrito tenga la misma oportunidad de alcanzar su máximo potencial a través de los programas ofrecidos en Cape May Distrito Escolar de Servicios Especiales del Condado. A ningún estudiante se le negará el acceso a los programas educativos o se beneficiará de ellos por motivos de raza, color, credo, religión, género, ascendencia, origen nacional, lugar de residencia, discapacidad o antecedentes sociales / económicos, y brinda igualdad de acceso al niño Scouts y otros grupos juveniles designados.

The Cape May County Special Services School District is accessible to persons with disabilities. Anyone needing special accommodations or services should contact the AAO at least 5 days before a scheduled event.

The Cape May County  Special Services School Districts strictly adhere to their Boards of Education affirmative action and anti-harassment policies to ensure equal education opportunities for all students and equal employment opportunities for all persons. In conformance with these policies the Districts affirm not to discriminate in their education programs, activities, employment or admission procedures and practices on the basis of race, color, age, creed, religion, ancestry, national origin, socioeconomic status, affectional or sexual orientation, gender, gender identification or expression, disability or marital status.

If a student, parent, or staff member has a complaint regarding these matters, he or she should contact the appropriate supervisor. If not satisfied with the determination, the complainant then may contact the District’s Affirmative Action Officer.
