Superintendent's Office
Dear CMCSSSD School Community,
Welcome to the Cape May County Special Services School District (CMCSSSD). Our mission is to provide a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where every student can learn, grow, and reach their full potential. At CMCSSSD, we believe that all students deserve access to high-quality, individualized instruction that meets their unique social, emotional, physical, and academic needs.
Our district offers a wide range of specialized programs, services, and supports tailored to students with diverse abilities. From early childhood through age 21, we provide instruction that emphasizes functional academics, life skills, and pre-vocational training, along with therapeutic services designed to support the whole child. Our highly trained staff which include special education teachers, therapists, case managers, nurses, BCBA’s, job coaches, support personnel, and administrators all work collaboratively to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that truly reflect the strengths and needs of each student.
As you know, CMCSSSD is proud of our specialized transition services and community-based instruction programs which help prepare students for life beyond the classroom. Whether through community based instruction, occupational skill development, or prevocational training, our goal is to ensure that students leave CMCSSSD with the skills, confidence, and support they need to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives. Thanks to the ongoing support of our Board of Education and partnerships with families and community agencies, we continue to innovate and improve our programming year after year.
As Superintendent, I am honored to lead a team of professionals who are deeply committed to the success and well-being of every student. I invite parents, guardians, and community members to stay actively involved and to reach out with questions, ideas, or concerns. Together, we can continue building a school community that celebrates diversity, fosters independence, and champions the achievements of all learners.
On behalf of the Board of Education, our Administrative Team, and the entire CMCSSSD faculty, we look forward to a very successful 2025–2026 school year!
Sincerely,
Jamie Moscony
Superintendent
