MISSION STATEMENT

We are committed to safely and efficiently transporting each child to and from their destination. We follow all applicable federal, state and local regulations in meeting the individual needs and requirements of each child.

WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO

CMCSS Transportation Department is a countywide cooperative Coordinated Transportation Services Agency (CTSA).

We work in coordination with school districts to help provide transportation services for homeless children, non-public students, special education, vocational-technical, and public school students in Cape May and Atlantic Counties.

The Cooperative Transportation Program provides route coordination services to public school districts as well as assistance with other transportation needs the districts may have. For more information, contact Sharen Dever, Transportation Coordinator, at 609-465-2720 x 7731.

EMERGENCY CLOSING / DELAY OPENING PROCEDURES

Transportation for your child WILL NOT be provided if any of the following occur:

Your child's school is closed due to inclement weather or other emergencies
Your local school district is closed due to inclement weather
CMCSSSD is closed due to inclement weather

Transportation for your child WILL BE provided on a DELAYED basis if any of the following occur:

Your child's school is delayed due to inclement weather or other emergency
Your local school district is delayed due to inclement weather
CMCSSSD is delayed due to inclement weather

Please contact your local school district if you have any questions.

For example: If your child lives in any of the Wildwoods and attends Cape May Tech or Cape May Co. Special Services and Wildwood School District closes due to weather or flooding and CM Tech and CMCSSSD is open, transportation will NOT be provided to school. It is up to the parent/guardian to transport your child to/from school.
